Yes its time for us to start collecting the Sainsburys Active Kids vouchers. So get down to your local Sainsburys and for every £10 you spend, you get 1 voucher. We would like to get 10,000 vouchers this year to go towards more camping equipment.

On the 20th January 2010, 6 Explorers received their D of E Bronze certificates at an event run by Hampshire D of E Forum. This is the first time that Gladiators have had Explorers attend the presentation, and it reflects the hard work that they and everyone else who were receiving award put into their D of E award.
At the event we saw other young people get awarded with Silver and Gold awards. I hope seeing these awards inspire other young people to go for Gold!
So a big WELL DONE to all of you that have achieved your Bronze!

Today, Remembrance Sunday (14th November 2010), Gladiator Explorers managed to attend two parades and services to remember those who have fallen in armed conflict for the protection of the UK.
A total of 13 Explorers attended the parade and service at St James church in Bramley where we lined the path to the church and then our flag was paraded into the church. Where we all sat down and joined in with the service of Remembrance.
After the service we received numerous comments saying how smart all of the Explorers looked and we even were asked if we were coming back next year!
I would like to say a big thank you to all the Explorers that attended as you were a great credit to the Unit.
We also have 2 Explorers attend the Baughurst Remembrance parade, and again it was mentioned how smart they were.
Remembrance Day this year is particularly poignant for everyone involved in Scouting in Hampshire, as they remember William Rees-Blanchard, a Scout Leader from Gosport who died earlier this month while on active service with UK forces in Afghanistan.
